We started in 2009 swinging hammers on bungalow rehabs. Sixteen years and 340+ projects later, we're still in the field — answering the phone, walking jobs, and signing off on every punch list.

Our story

From bungalow rehabs to whole-home renovations.

Marcus Lopez grew up on his father's framing crew. After a decade swinging hammers for someone else, he started Urban Home Builders in 2009 with a single rule: build it like it's ours.

Today we're a 24-person team of carpenters, designers, project managers, and estimators. We still take on roughly one new client a week — because over-promising is the fastest way to under-deliver, and we'd rather say no to a job than do it badly.

We focus on remodeling, renovations, additions, and ground-up custom homes. We don't chase commercial work. We don't franchise. We work where we live.

    Consultation

    We meet at your home, walk the space, and listen. You leave with a realistic budget range and a clear next step — no pressure.

    Design & Estimate

    Our designers and estimators draw plans, source materials, and produce a fixed-price proposal with a calendar you can build a life around.

  3. 03

    Build

    One project manager. One job-site lead. Weekly updates with photos. Dust control, daily clean-up, and respect for your home — non-negotiable.

  4. 04

    Handover & Warranty

    Final walkthrough, punch list closed within 14 days, and a 2-year workmanship warranty in writing. We answer the phone after the job ends.
